Established in 1972, RHL International’s founding company, Francis Lau & Co., (Surveyors) Ltd, was the first Chinese-established surveyor firm in Hong Kong. As early as 1972 and 1973, we provided valuation services in relation to Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) for prestigious corporations such as Great Eagle Holdings Limited and Island Dyeing and Printing Company Limited in Hong Kong.

RHL International was one of the earliest consultancy companies to expand its network into Chinese Mainland. In the early 1990s, we established companies in Beijing and Shanghai and set up our wholly-owned service consultancy in Shenzhen. During this period, we conducted asset valuations for a number of state-owned enterprises listed in Hong Kong, as well as consultancy work in urban property acquisition for redevelopment.

In the early 2000s, RHL International entered the corporate valuation and advisory sector to meet rising global demand for these services. To date, we have conducted numerous valuations in Asia, Australasia, Africa and the Americas.

Faced with the Asian financial crisis and the global financial tsunami, we handled a large amount of property auctions and valuations during this decade. Meanwhile, we further expanded our services in project feasibility research and zone planning and development consultancy.

To cope with growing cross-border and cross-business needs for Chinese Mainland and overseas clients, the Group expanded its global network, as well as its cooperation and consultancy platform, to provide a more diverse range of services to different locations. In addition, following the development of the Greater Bay Area, we have strengthened our services in market research, regional strategical planning and sustainable development research.

RHL Appraisal Ltd is on the panel list as one of valuation organisations serving Central Enterprises accredited by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council in the People’s Republic of China since 2012.

In 2016, RHL Appraisal Limited’s Quality Management System for corporate and real estate valuation was certified compliant with the ISO 9001:2015 standard by HKQAA with international recognition including by the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS), Hong Kong Accreditation Service (HKAS) and United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS). It is a testament to our efforts in providing reliable and high-quality services to our clients.

RHL Surveyors Ltd was awarded the tender from Government to conduct Sustainability Assessment for the Hong Kong 2030+:Towards a planning Vision and Strategy Transcending 2030+.

With the acceleration to develop the Northern Metropolis, our group has devoted more resources to offer land consultancy services as well as compensation assessment services.

In view of the increasing services demand from clients coming from “Greater Bay Area”, countries along “One Belt One Road” and Southeast Asia on asset appraisal, investment and management, our group continues to explore solutions and tailor-made advisory services to meet with their needs.
